#Inbound16: Our favourite keynote addresses

Written by Spitfire Inbound | 14 Dec 2016 7:19:00 AM

Since Inbound 2016 - HubSpot's annual inbound marketing conference - ended, I've spent that time clearing out my inbox, reading blog posts, finding all the speakers I loved, and telling everyone in the workplace what I learned at Inbound this year.

What made Inbound16 so amazing was the quality of the speakers and presentations that were available. Of the six keynote addresses, three really stood out to the Spitfire Inbound team.

Gary Vaynerchuk

After presenting at Inbound12, Gary Vaynerchuk came back in 2016 to tell attendees how he "day trades attention and builds businesses."

You can watch the keynote here, but if you don't have the 45 minutes to watch the full video, here are two actionable tips you can take from the talk:

1. B2B Companies need to be buying Facebook adverts now. He anticipates that by late 2017, it will be $30 CPM (cost per thousand impressions), whereas right now it's $5.

2. In his words, "Go to Google and search it F***face" - if you don't know how to use a tool, Google it and teach yourself.

Anna Kendrick

Who doesn't love a cappella and a great sense of humour? Anna Kendrick is witty, graceful, and engaging when interviewed, and it definitely left the Spitfire team starstruck.

While her interview isn't available to watch just yet, I caught my favourite part of her interview on video. "Tell yourself it's okay to fail, and believe it."

Reshma Saujani

Reshma Saujani is the mastermind behind Girls Who Code; a brilliant organisation which is working to break down gender stereotypes in the field of programming. Reshma Saujani shared her passion with the audience of Inbound16. Watch the shortened version here:
