HubSpot Product Updates: your gifts to end off the year

Written by Shiran Sugerman | 13 Dec 2024 1:17:05 PM

HubSpot is a remarkable platform crafted with the Inbound Methodology at its core. This ensures that the tool continuously evolves, employing an agile approach to remain the best solution for marketing, sales, and service teams - equipping them with the tools and capabilities to achieve their business objectives.

We love that HubSpot listens to its community, implementing monthly updates to enhance the platform, stay ahead of trends, and meet user needs.

Top three HubSpot Product Updates for December 2024:

  1. Limits tracking in data model
Admins can now track Object and property limits so there are no surprises when your team is reaching their limits in the system. Take a look at the below for details on how to access this:

2. CTA activity source in reporting
You can now get better analytics around your CTAs when creating custom reports. This will provide deeper insights into the performance of your pop-ups and embedded CTAs. Take a look at the below for details on how to access this:

3. Convert Active to Static Lists on Schedule
You likely have a lot of active lists created that serve multiple purposes. But when a campaign list meets your needs, you don’t need it to continue to run as an active list, you can now set those lists to convert into Static lists.

Additional December HubSpot Product Updates

HubSpot releases several updates a month, some small and some big. The top three covered above were our favourites for the month, but below are ones we are also excited about.

  1. Block form submissions from specific domains

We all get spam on our forms, it’s a way of life. While HubSpot works to prevent malicious spam, you might find that you are getting requests from people which you no longer want to come into your system. You can now block either specific email domains or HubSpot's default list of free domains on your forms. This will then prevent them from being able to submit the form.

This is going to help keep your database clean and ensure only relevant contacts come into your portal. Please note, this feature is only available on the new form builder.

  2. Create Sales Leads from Mobile

The Leads object in HubSpot has had several great updates in the last few months and your sales reps can easily generate leads from their mobile app. This means they can add leads while on the move and ensure all relevant data for Leads is up to date.

How to access Beta updates

Like we said, HubSpot loves to listen to its users, so not all updates are immediately live. Many start off in Beta where you have the opportunity to test and comment on these changes.

If you don’t see the update in your portal, you can enrol in the Beta. This is an easy and quick step to do. Take a look at the step-by-step process below for instructions:

skipIntro=true&removeLogo=true" width="640" height="640" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%; border: none;">

Good to know: While the majority of features in Beta do go live, HubSpot doesn’t guarantee that every Beta will go live and may still be removed.
