We’ve done it again - Spitfire shines at the Supersonic New Generation Awards

This year’s Supersonic New Generation Awards were packed with innovative marketing campaigns that focused on adjusting to the “new normal” and we scooped a Gold, and together with Penquin, Silver and Bronze.

The prestigious Supersonic New Generation Awards is an annual event celebrating and awarding innovative South African media agencies, corporate companies, private institutions, government bodies, individuals, creatives across all industries and registered students. 

With categories across Corporate as well as Small, Medium and Large Agencies, prizes are awarded for outstanding campaigns, website design, creative and innovative app design and development, as well as exceptional individuals, students and influencers within the South African marketing environment. 

In 2020, we walked away with 2 awards including:

  • Bronze – Best Marketing Automation Campaign
  • Gold – Best Marketing Automation Campaign

And in 2019, we won 5 awards alongside Penquin.

This year’s hybrid event (virtual and limited in-person) was held at the TicketPro Dome and in living rooms across the country on Thursday 23rd September 2021. 

Representing the Spitfire Inbound team, Strategic Inbound Advisor, Lauren Lokker, and Financial and Agencies Service Manager, Boitumelo Jwere, were there to scoop up the awards, in-person.


We had 7 nominations along with our sister agency, Penquin, in the below categories:

Corporate Awards

Our team humbly accepted the Gold Award for our work on Merchant Capital in the Best Marketing Automation Campaign Category.

Additionally to the Gold Award, we also walked away with the Silver Award in the same category, alongside our sister agency, Penquin, for our work on long-standing client, Suzuki South Africa. 

Our final win for the night was the Bronze Award in the Best Integrated Marketing Campaign Category, again, alongside Penquin, for the Growth Marketing campaign for Suzuki South Africa. 

The New Generation Awards highlight creativity, innovation and an industry that is constantly evolving and pushing the boundaries on what can be achieved. Huge congratulations to all of the wonderful and creative agencies and in-house marketing teams in South Africa who have done incredible work the past 12 months, in trying times.
