Operations Hub (available in Starter and Professional) gives you a unified toolset that connects your client’s apps, cleans their customer data, and automates business processes as part of HubSpot's easy and powerful CRM platform.
You may have heard of the term RevOps and perhaps even wondered what RevOps had to do with marketing or sales. RevOps (or Revenue Operations) is a term to describe the systems, people, processes, technology and information that are needed to make a business run more effectively. Ultimately RevOps is a framework that is designed to help break down the silos in your business and streamline operations to ensure a smoother customer journey and ultimately business success. But for RevOps to be successful, they need robust systems and a tool to help align the whole business, this is where Operations Hub comes in.
What is HubSpot Operations Hub?
Traditionally, Operations is both siloed and reactive which creates a fragmented experience for customers. With the shift to RevOps, HubSpot wants to help drive the shift from legacy operations to Revenue Operations. Keep in mind, RevOps should not be an afterthought - they’re the architects of your growth engine.
To do RevOps, you need a unified operations toolset that connects systems, cleans customer data, and automates business processes. This is why HubSpot has launched Operations Hub. Unlike siloed data tools, Operations Hub combines an ops team’s full toolkit into a CRM platform, uniting all your customer data on one connected platform. The result? A more efficient, aligned, and agile business, an unhindered and strategic ops team, and a friction-free customer experience. The use of AI, bi-directional sync and programmable automations opens up possibilities for teams to work smarter and be more efficient while delighting their customers.
What does Operations Hub Offer
1. A truly connected CRM
Keep your customer data in sync across all your business apps, two ways and in real time — no third-party integration tools required. Save hours of manual data entry for your ops teams, and empower and align your teams with dependable, consistent, and up-to-date data.
2. A database that cleans itself
Your customer experience is only as clean as the data that powers it. With Operations Hub, ensuring data quality isn’t just easy; it’s automatic. Declutter date properties, clean up country codes, polish up phone number fields, and more — faster than you can say “export and import.” Good data is key to working with Marketing, Sales, and Service Teams. Revops teams can now use AI tools to deliver better data and work more seamlessly.
3. Automation as flexible as your imagination
As online touchpoints multiply, automation keeps your team efficient and your customer experience consistent. With Operations Hub, set up custom automation to remove friction from your entire business process, adapt to ever-changing customer needs, and ensure your company runs smoothly as it scales.
What Are the Features of Operations Hub?
1. Data Sync
As your company grows, every employee adopts their favourite SaaS app, and the number of tools you have to manage multiplies. A messy web of disconnected tools makes your team inefficient and leads to a clunky, disconnected customer experience. At launch, Operations Hub offers 25 of most used integrations which will sync with hubSpot but this will continue to expand over time. These integrations include Google Contacts, Microsoft Dynamics, Mailchimp, Stripe, and Zendesk.
To remove the friction for both your team and your customers, you need a natively connected tech stack. With the launch of Operations Hub, HubSpot’s native integrations are now powered by the industry’s leading integration engine (according to G2). Traditional out-of-the-box integrations are easy but rigid, custom solutions are powerful but costly and code-heavy. HubSpot’s data sync packs all the punch of a custom-built connector — bidirectional sync, custom field mappings, filtering, historical syncing — in an easy, code-free package.
With your business apps in sync, your ops team will be free from integration fires, your go-to-market teams will be aligned and empowered, and your customer experience will be friction-free.
2. Programmable Automation
Your business isn’t cookie-cutter, so your automation shouldn’t be either. With programmable automation in Operations Hub, your automation truly is only limited by your imagination. Create custom automation actions for every business process — from territories to time management notifications to NPS — to keep your team efficient and your customers happy.
Note: Programmable automation is the umbrella term for three specific features that are unique to Operations Hub: (1) Custom coded workflow actions, (2) Custom coded bot actions, and (3) Webhooks in workflows.
3. Data quality automation
Like we said, your customer experience is only as clean as the data that powers it. That’s why we really love the new data quality actions in workflows which allows you to automate the work out of annoying and time-consuming data issues including:
- Cleaning up date properties
- Capitalising first names
- and more with new out-of-the-box automations
With this new addition to HubSpot workflows, your data will be clean and under control, automatically, so your Operations team can focus on sparking growth instead of putting out data fires. Plus it will help your service, marketing, and sales teams too - as good data helps drive a better customer experience.
4. Expanded Operational Capacity
To keep up with your business’s growth, you need more room to run. Operations Hub includes higher limits on lists, workflows, and reports ensuring your CRM will grow as fast as you do.
Is Operations Hub only for the ops team?
Nope! Operations Hub offers some features that will excite members of other teams as well including:
- Workflow integrations
Trigger actions in third-party systems like, a Slack message, a Zoom webinar invite, an Asana task, and dozens more, all from your HubSpot workflows.
- Custom objects
Store and customise all the data you need to support your customers. Create single-object, cross-object, or custom funnel reports to monitor the health of your business.
5. Team Management and Permissions
If you’re currently using HubSpot, you’ll know that it has a robust system for managing team access and permissions and Operations Hub is no different. You’ll be able to ensure the right users have access to the right stuff in your account, so your assets stay secure and your team stays efficient.
As we all know, the launch of any HubSpot tool is only a start and while we don’t know what is coming, we know HubSpot will be growing this new Hub over time. Keep an eye on our blog or sign up for our product updates webinars to get the latest news as HubSpot builds out these new tools.
